Below are some of the common questions we get asked and our answers to them.

How many guests can we fit?


Typically a small single marquee will fit approximately 50 – 80 guests dependant on if the event is standing or you would like your guests seated, also factors like dance floors and buffet tables will make a difference. The best thing would be to tell us the number of guests you’re inviting and what else you want in your space, and we can help decide on the size of marquee you’ll need.


Where do we operate?


We are based just north of Auckland, but we are happy to travel to most places around the North Island. We keep our transport costs to a minimum so we pass on as little costs as possible. Basically, we are an Auckland based company, but we love to travel.
 

Leaving a lasting impression


Our Marquees will suit a lot of simple events without any need for accessories, however they really come into their own if you’re planning a wedding or an event that requires some interior decoration. We can help you with some beautiful décor tips and accessories, and we love to see our marquees dressed to impress. We advice on few ‘do’s and don’ts’ when it comes to the decoration of the marquees so please ensure you chat to us first about your plans, so we can ensure that your event creates the ‘Wow’ factor for you and your guests.
 

When will you arrive to put the marquee up?


We usually put the marquees up for weekend events on the Thursday or the Friday, and take them down again on the Monday or Tuesday. This ensures you have peace of mind that everything is in place in time for your event and leaves you plenty of time to add the finishing touches. We will always make arrangements with you once you book regarding delivery and installation. You will need to have someone onsite to meet us, so we’ll also give you a call on the day to confirm arrival times.
 

Do the marquees have any flooring?


We can provide flooring options for your marquees, including carpet and Profloor and this really depends on the location and event type as to whether or not you’ll prefer it. Our DandyDura carpet is English made, and has the look and feel of Coir matting. Profloor is a plastic tile system available in three different colours, mid grey, silver and mid green.
 

How many guests can I seat around a table?


Our round tables seat up to 10 guests and our trestle tables can fit 8. We can help you design the table layouts and configurations depending on the total number of guests you wish to seat, and if you require a top table or a buffet bar. We are really flexible with our table options within our packages as we realise that each event is unique, so you tell us what you would like, and we will accomodate you within the package price.
 

What about the weather?


However much we can plan for a perfect event, we can’t of course plan the weather. Our marquees are versatile though and can accommodate the weather not just on the day but also by the hour. Each marquee comes with flexible sidewalls, which clip into the sides. So if the sun is on it’s best behavior you can open up the marquee on all sides to give you the ‘al fresco’ experience and simply shade you from the sun. If however, the rain should make an appearance, within a few seconds the sidewalls can be released ensuring you’re your guests are dry, cosy and your event can continue without interruption. You can even go somewhere in the middle and create open areas and closed areas, by using either transparent sidewalls or opaque. Utterly perfect!!!
Our marquees are 100% waterproof and wind resistant.
 

Other equipment hire

 
We hold most items in stock, and what we don't hold we can get for you from one of our approved suppliers.  We like to think slightly differently and so we are able to not only give you the basics (white folding chairs, round tables etc), but also all the props that will really create an original ambience. You are free to mix and match to create a style that suits you perfectly.
 

Where can we install the marquees?


Generally our marquees can be erected anywhere. If your venue is in a public space, a special license is sometimes required from your local council..
Please bear in mind that we require the marquees to be erected on a soft ground surface, in order to secure the anchor points.

 

What are your Terms and Conditions of hire?

Our Terms and Conditions are industry standard, please take a read through them HERE, they cover all the basics such as access, payments etc. If you have any questions about them please don't hesitate to contact us and ask.
 

I’d like to make a booking; what should I do now?


You can fill out our contact form with as much detail as possible about the event, date, place, number of guests etc. We can then send to you some suggested layouts and configurations for your marquee and accessories. Alternatively, you can always ring us if you’d prefer, and we can chat through your requirements.
Once you’re ready to go ahead you’ll need to pay a 25% deposit to secure you booking. If you would like to make amendments to the quotation, this is absolutely fine and we will only take your deposit once we have agreed on your package.
The balance will be due 21 days before your event, and we will send you an invoice for this. All payments can be made by cheque or bank payment. Details of which will be on your invoice. If you find you need to make any amendments to your booking, that’s fine, just keep in touch and give us as much notice as possible. Please note that all deposits are NON Returnable, in line with our Terms of Usage.
